Hello Grandchildren,
Happy summer holidays to you. I hope you’ll be able to get out there and enjoy these lovely August weeks. How we miss seeing you both! Of course, I know we have loads of photos and videos of the fun we had, and how you made us laugh, but it would be so good to meet you again.
I can bring you up-to-date with your cousins though. Jas is 19 and goes to Solent University in October. Amy was 18 last week and is going to be an apprentice at Sunseeker Yachts in Poole, working with wood. She starts in September.
You see, you just never can tell what you’ll end up doing, or which things you really like doing best. But in the end, it usually becomes clear, and you find your own way. Of course, you two have plenty of time for that, and I wish you well as you get older
I remember, Samantha, how you loved drawing and colouring as a little girl. You, also, used to make up your own words, and wrote me loads of shopping lists! I’ve still got some of them here, and, of course, you can have them if you want to see what you were like.
Ryan, in this photo, I think you have spent too much time with the hosepipe, you are drenched! Your sister looks pretty soaked too.
Sending love now to you both, enjoy the holidays
